Bella Terra is a gated community of 1,899 single family homes, villas, townhomes and condominiums on Corkscrew Road in Estero, built from 2004 to 2014 around a clubhouse and sports campus with a resort pool, and no golf course.

Bella Terra sits on the south side of Corkscrew Road in Estero, in Lee County, about three miles east of Interstate 75. Its 1,899 homes went up from 2004 to 2014: 1,086 single family homes, 260 villas, 217 townhomes and 336 condominiums in the low rise Barletta buildings. The community is built out and resale only, and the entrance is gated and staffed. About 500 of its roughly 961 acres are lakes and nature preserves, and conservation land borders it to the south and east.

Life centers on the 7,000 square foot clubhouse at 20070 Bella Terra Boulevard, with a fitness center, an aerobics studio, a game room and a community room. Outside are a resort pool with a waterfall spa, tennis and pickleball courts, bocce, basketball, sand volleyball, a street hockey and inline skating rink, a baseball field, a soccer field, a playground and a butterfly garden. The Barletta condominiums have their own pool. There is no golf course.

Every owner belongs to Bella Terra of Southwest Florida, Inc., the master association, and to one of six neighborhood associations for the single family homes, villas, townhomes or condominiums. Combined association fees have a median of about $325 a month (2026), from about $270 for many single family homes to about $600 for the Barletta condominiums, plus about $2,140 in one time fees at closing. Homes are also in the Habitat Community Development District, which bills $860.69 a home for operations in FY2027 plus bond payments of about $179 to $419 a year through 2035 on the Lee County tax bill.
