The Pelican Preserve Community Association describes a resort-style 55+ neighborhood with unbundled golf. Official history: WCI started planning in 2001 at Treeline Avenue and Colonial Boulevard; construction paused in the 2008 recession; Lennar finished all 2,498 housing units.
