The Colony Golf & Country Club

The Colony Golf & Country Club is a gated Bonita Springs community of more than 1,000 homes inside Pelican Landing, with high rise towers, condominiums and estate homes around a private, member owned Jerry Pate golf course with optional membership.

The Colony at Pelican Landing is a gated community in Bonita Springs (ZIP 34134), just west of U.S. 41 on Estero Bay, set among preserves, lakes and wetlands. Westinghouse Communities began it in 1999 as part of the Pelican Landing master plan, and the clubhouse and golf course opened in 2001.

The Colony has more than 1,000 homes. They include high rise towers such as Altaira, Florencia, Navona, Treviso and Infinity, mid and low rise condominiums such as Cielo, Merano and Terzetto, and single family neighborhoods such as Bellagio, Messina, Tuscany Isle, Addison Place and Las Palmas. The newest tower, Infinity by The Ronto Group, is under construction. Residents also belong to the Pelican Landing master association, which includes a private island beach park on Big Hickory Island for residents only. The Bay Club, a private waterfront restaurant on Estero Bay, is for Colony residents. The community is in the Bayside Improvement Community Development District.

The Colony Golf & Country Club is private and member owned, and membership is optional. Its Jerry Pate championship course is an 18 hole, par 72 layout, resurfaced tee to green with Platinum Paspalum in 2017. Members book tee times up to 8 days ahead, with no Chelsea system. Golf membership is capped at 275 and is currently full, with a Golf in Waiting program. The club's 2026 guide lists a $175,000 non refundable golf joining fee and $18,430 in annual operating dues; a Sports membership is $40,000 to join. The clubhouse, renovated in 2018, has a dining room, grille room and alfresco terrace, and the club adds six Har-Tru tennis courts, a fitness center, a spa and a resort style pool.
